We believe that meaning and purpose in this life are found in the loving and glorifying of God, and that eternal life is attained only through the acceptance of His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The Bible

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their original manuscripts are the inspired Word of God. We believe that the Bible is divine and is God’s written revelation to the world. The Bible is the standard for absolute truth, without error, and the ultimate guide for daily living. The Bible forms our world view. All Luke 5:16 Ministries activities are to be inspired by, and accountable to, the Word of God.

God

We believe in one God that is Sovereign Creator and Lord of all, and eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Psalm 103:19; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 John 5:7

God the Father

We believe that God the Father is timeless and eternal, concerned in the lives of men, hearer and answerer of prayer, and that all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ will be saved from perishing and given eternal life.

Genesis 1:1; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 102:25-27; Matthew 10:29-31; Nehemiah 9:6; John 14:6; John 3:16

God the Son

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and second Person of the Trinity. We believe

  • in His deity
  • that He is both fully human and fully God
  • in His conception by the Holy Spirit
  • that He is the promised Messiah from Old Testament Scripture
  • in His virgin birth, sinless life, and miracles
  • in His vicarious and atoning sacrifice for sinful man through His shed bled on the cross
  • in His resurrection and ascension to the right hand of God the Father
  • that He will return to earth and reign forever in power and glory
  • that He is the way, the truth, and the life. That no one comes to the Father except through Him.

 God the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and co-equal with God the Father and God the Son, that He is deity and personal, and not an impersonal force. The Holy Spirit brings conviction to the unbeliever, shows truth, and upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, unites the believer with God the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit indwells and guides the believer. The Holy Spirit was the inspiration of Scripture and is what allows us to understand it.
