We could talk all day about the benefits of our trips, but we believe that the voices of those who’ve experienced them firsthand speak volumes. Participants often tell us that their time with Luke 5:16 Ministries was more than just a break – it was a transformative experience that renewed their spirit and rekindled their passion for service.
We’re humbled to have played a part in their journeys, and we’re excited to share some of their stories with you.
I am a bi-vocational, non-salaried pastor whose income is derived from many hours in my electrical business. The work of ministry is a “labor of love” but usually involves a minimum of nine teachings and/or sermons per week. In short, I really needed a ministry like this.
It was an incredible privilege to participate in the inaugural event (A Venture into Yellowstone National Park) of this ministry. Anthony (the ministry founder) inspired me to break from the normal “grinds and pulls” of the ministry and to allow myself to experience the rest of “getting away for a while.” I am so glad he did, and the whole trip was not only successful in that regard but also became something of what I must call an unpredictable providence.
After returning I was indeed surprised by how, even though I did not get much sleep, my mind seemed rested and my spirit less bothered by the frequent complications of ministry.

I can not express enough how amazing my trip to Yellowstone was. Being in ministry, it is hard to unplug and unwind at times. This trip helped me with both. I am a full-time assistant pastor who loves the outdoors, and Luke 5:16 Ministries has blessed me and my family beyond measure. Anthony is one of the most generous men I have ever met. He sent me and my entire family, plus some extended family, on a much needed fishing trip up in northern New Mexico. We stayed in a very nice cabin, with everything we needed and more. We were then taken out on a guided fishing boat, and I caught the biggest fish of my life out on Eagles Nest Lake. My wife was also with me, and she caught some big ones, too! Anthony and his wife then made us an amazing ribeye steak dinner with all the fixin’s.
In summary, we were treated like royalty. I am overwhelmed that God has put such generosity in the heart of Anthony and his family to bless a guy like me and my family. I am forever grateful for this trip and Luke 5:16 ministries. I definitely don’t deserve to have been given so much, but I am very thankful for it all!!
